Another strikingly minimal design by S+ARCK is on the horizon. This is the first leather and digital combination timepiece from S+ARCK. Using repetition of form to distinguish itself, the two cases and the buckle are all the same height, width, and length. Time is displayed at the bottom display window and date is shown in the top. (Click any of the images for full size)

As is customary with S+ARCK, the buckle has been incorporated in such a way that it, when fastened, appears completely seamless. The strap adjusts by folding back on itself. Functions include time, date, day, and dual time displays (or a combination of the 4).
Price is in keeping with the rest of the S+ARCK line: $125.
Technabob pointed to Phillipe Starck’s latest, cantilevered watch design the other day. As usual, the design is brilliantly minimal while still innovative. Gizmodo picked up the news/photo and then added, “their innards are cheap as a dime store windup toy.” Unlike Gizmodo, I got my hands on my own cantilevered Starck yesterday and the build quality is fantastic. Take a look:
I’m not sure where they got their information, but the “innards” are the same (high-) quality movements of any other Starck/Fossil licensed brand watch. Definitely not cheap.
